COVID-19 – A Marrickville Heritage Society Statement

Marrickville Heritage Society is committed to protecting the health of its members and visitors attending any of its events.

Due to the current situation created by the COVID-19 pandemic the committee of the Marrickville Heritage Society has decided to postpone all upcoming MHS events until further notice.

The Lewisham walking tour to be conducted by Mark Matheson on 28 March and our April talk by Bill Phippen scheduled for Anzac Day at Herb Greedy Hall are both postponed.

Should you know of members unlikely to read this advice, could you please notify them accordingly? Remember that the next newsletter will be in early May. This website will remain in operation and will provide updates.

The Marrickville Medal event set down for 5 May has been cancelled until further notice. Members living locally should check the Inner West Council website: www.innerwest.nsw.gov.au for health advice and updates on all council activities (many of which have been cancelled). Members living elsewhere should check their local council website.

The Society will continue to monitor the situation, taking advice from Health authorities, and keep members informed.
