Historian Richard Cashman has lived in Marrickville for 50 years and has watched it change and grow. Richard will give a talk on his life in, and the history and times of the ‘ville.
Richard was a founder member and now life member of the Marrickville Heritage Society.
With local historians Chrys Meader and Anne Carolan, Richard wrote the two-volume history of Marrickville; Marrickville: Rural Outpost to Inner City and Marrickville: People and Places. Richard has also written prolifically on sports history in Australia
